Curious minds, creative sparks—this isn’t a list of services. It’s a glimpse into what we make, host, and hatch. Ars Scientia is a growing set of projects, partnerships, and provocations—always changing, always collaborative.
Host Artist Residencies: We invite artists into scientific spaces—labs, conversations, and collaborations—through in-house residencies and international partnerships like the Quantum Studio with the French Embassy in Canada.
Support Interdisciplinary Teaching: Ars Scientia has developed a for-credit graduate course at UBC (CRWR 570: Storytelling, Persuasion, and Physics) that explores science through narrative, imagination, and artistic practice.
Run Public Programs and Events: We organize public talks, seminars, and panels that explore the connections between artistic creation and scientific inquiry, often in collaboration with the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery.
Commission and Exhibit Collaborative Work: From speculative fiction to performance to visual art, we commission and showcase artworks that emerge from the generative friction between artistic and scientific methods.
Foster Community Dialogue: Through initiatives like Learning Together and community-facing workshops, we open space within scientific institutions for critical conversation on knowledge, culture, and inclusion.
