Ars Scientia is where science meets imagination.
Born from a shared curiosity between scientists and artists, this initiative explores what can happen when rigorous research and creative expression collide. What started with a question about how to see the unseeable—dark matter, quantum states, the limits of knowledge itself—has evolved into a platform for cross-disciplinary collaborations, public exhibitions, experimental publications, and radical pedagogy.
Our aim is to expand the ways we know, communicate, and create.
Ars Scientia invites researchers, artists, students, and community members into shared spaces of inquiry. Through partnerships across UBC’s Blusson Quantum Matter Institute, the Department of Physics and Astronomy, and the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery, we blur the lines between disciplines to open new frontiers in both science and art.
