I work at the intersection of international cooperation and cultural initiatives, engaging with cultural and creative industries from books and contemporary music to digital media, immersive realities, and new forms of storytelling. My projects span visual arts, artist residencies, public discussions of ideas, and the development of media libraries and other “third places,” with a particular focus on bridging the arts and sciences and on educational partnerships. I am a writer, art critic, and exhibition curator with interests in contemporary art, art brut, Indigenous arts and cultures, ecology and environmental issues, literature, performance, and the Americas. I studied comparative literature, philosophy, and Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking cultures, and hold the agrégation de lettres modernes (a French qualification in modern literature).
