Rysa Greenwood

Rysa was born and raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta and completed her undergraduate degree in physics at the University of Calgary. She is now a third-year graduate student at the University of British Columbia specializing in condensed matter physics. At UBC, she investigates the electronic properties of organic photovoltaic materials. Rysa is passionate about sustainable energy technologies and hopes to continue her career researching novel solar technologies. While she is not in the lab, Rysa enjoys escaping to the mountains to climb, snowboard or hike.
